Local SEND support services are suspending face-to-face meetings and are asking people to phone, email or use other digital routes to keep in contact.

WAND and WAND+ cardholders will be pleased to know that several WAND Makers have re-opened. Please note all may be subject to some restrictions due to social distancing and cleaning requirements. These include:

Wandsworth Autism Advisory Service are now offering a range of online services including
Four online groups for young people, with six sessions each starting in July:
- Girls aged 11 to 14
- Boys aged 11 to 14.

Unique Youth at George Shearing - Join Lisa Poole, George Shearing’s Community Massage Practitioner, on a family massage journey through lockdown - learn to massage your young adult with additional needs and any other family members.
Unique can also provide emotional support for parents and regular 1:1 touching base contact for children/young people to support them with topics of interest or causing concern.

Carney's Community have suspended most face to face work, but continue to offer one to one support for most in need via phone and social media, as well as Instagram home work-outs released daily on their Instagram.
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) services are still receiving referrals and treating young people, some treatment will be via telephone and the internet during this difficult time. Their online counselling provision via KOOTHS is available to all Wandsworth young people, visit www.kooth.com Their new Mental Health Support Line for all young people in Crisis: 0800 028 8000, which you can phone 24/7.
Please do not go to A&E if you are in crisis, instead CAMHS have set up the Orchid Crisis Unit at Springfield Hospital, which you may be advised to attend once you have phoned the Crisis Line.
CAMHS - Learning Disability Service are limiting their home visits and face to face appointments in order to ensure safety and that of the other families that they see. The large majority of appointments and reviews will therefore be conducted by telephone or video conferencing. Please let them know if you would prefer not to use your wi-fi data allowance for video conferencing and they will use telephone instead.

Children's Specialist Therapies, includes Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy are offering their current users support by telephone. The Speech and Language Therapy Team have added lots of helpful resources on their webpage. As have the Occupational Therapy Team.

Catch 22 - Substance Misuse and Mental Health Services is continuing to provide counselling support for young people aged 11 to 18 years.

Bereavement Information and Support Coronavirus specific information about support in Wandsworth and from national organisations.
Home Start have had to temporarily halt their home-visiting service, they are continuing to offer online and telephone support to their families. Where necessary, they are also arranging delivery of essential supplies to their most vulnerable families.
Generate are offering weekly support chats on Zoom, have Things To Do While Social Distancing on their website and each week they’ll be adding more activities for you to do at home. They are also sending a weekly email, with how to get in touch and get support.

The Early Years SEND Support Services, Portage, Early Support, Parent and Child Development and West Hill Enhanced Children's Centre. All teams are providing emotional support to parents through regular contact via phone, Skype, texting, WhatsApp, etc. with a focus for families with increased levels of vulnerability.

Health Visiting and School Nursing Universal Service - from 1 April 2020 the health visiting and school nursing services will be offering a 7 day a week 9am-5pm duty line on 0330 058 1679 for parents and young people to call for support and advice or email Clcht.firstname.lastname@example.org The duty line will be staffed by an administrator, Health Visitor and School Nurse - Full COVID-19 Offer.
The Mainstream Secondary Speech and Language Therapy Service are being redeployed, so created a "What is Coronavirus?" newsletter for the young people they support-and for any other young people, too.
If you, or someone you know, is in need of immediate support during this time, please visit the Community Hub. This is particularly for those elderly and/or vulnerable residents without support networks, who need support to access medical/care services and food supplies. It is to help those most in need stay safe and well while they self-isolate at home.
