Wandsworth’s Integrated Youth Support Service (IYSS) combines Youth Support and Youth Work and links closely with the Youth Offending Team.
The IYSS provides services for all young people aged 11 to 19 and up to 25 if they have a learning difficulty or disability.
Services are delivered across three areas covering the whole of Wandsworth, and the area offices are in:
- Battersea (which includes central Wandsworth)
- Roehampton and Putney.
Wandsworth’s IYSS includes youth clubs and center’s, the youth crime prevention and detached youth work teams, support to the voluntary sector, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Youth Voice, the Youth Council and other programme’s and Connexions Centre’s. Some services can support young people at risk of school exclusion and getting involved in crime and also those requiring social work or family work.
In addition to these services there are a range of voluntary and community services which also offer support to young people living in Wandsworth.
The Youth Support Team aims to support parents in a variety of ways that strengthen their relationships.
