Small Steps works with children:
Over 3 months and under 5 years of age
With mainly physical disability or a significant motor delay
Not in a Special School full time
Likely to obtain benefit from the Conductive Education approach
Whose parents / carers are able to attend sessions and be hands-on.
Small Steps can help:
- teach parents/carers to work with their children to learn skills they can use at home;
- motivate children to achieve stepped goals and increase their independence; and
- boost self-esteem for both parents/carers and children.
