Behaviours that challenge - Parent Training Workshop

Behaviours that challenge (Managing meltdowns and shutdowns). This is a three part parent webinar and focuses specifically on behaviours that challenge in the home or in the community. It is aimed at parents/ carers of children aged 5 and above (both primary and secondary school age) with autism or who are on the specialist diagnostic pathway.
The content is informed by positive behaviour support theory and aims to empower parents by offering practical strategies and feedback opportunities.
We will consider the day to day running of your household, taking into consideration your family routines, values, strengths and preferences. We will use this to inform the priorities for your child/ children. A big focus will be on teaching you and your child the skills necessary to communicate, thrive and manage those all too common triggering life events.
This is one of the new services from Wandsworth Autism Advisory Service which works closely with partners across the authority to provide a planned and graduated support to parents and families of children with a diagnosis of autism (and those on the specialist pathway).
