Paediatric Cardiology at St George's Hospital

St George’s Children’s Department works closely with the Children’s Cardiology Department at Evelina Children’s Hospital to provide close-to-home consultations and clinics for children with possible or known heart problems.
The cardiology department runs screening clinics for those with symptoms suggestive of a heart disorder and joint clinics with a specialist from Evelina for those with a known disorder.
Typical referrals include children with:
- a murmur picked up incidentally,
- palpitations,
- sudden loss of consciousness, and
- those with a documented defect on echocardiography or ECG.
