Osteopathic Centre for Children
The Osteopathic Centre for Children is a charity that seeks to ensure that paediatric osteopathy – a gentle, effective and environmentally-friendly treatment – is established as an option for parents and carers concerned for their child’s health. This service is for expectant mothers, babies, children and teenagers.
The Osteopathic Centre for Children is not part of the NHS, and as a charity, is entirely reliant on donations to keep the clinic open. Although families are asked to make a payment towards the cost of treatments, a number of appointments each day are reserved for those in financial difficulties.
Osteopathy is concerned with the arrangement of the parts of the body and their movements. The task of the osteopath is to understand what has gone wrong and why. From this perspective, osteopaths assess and treat a wide range of healthcare issues in children.
- osteopathic check-up following the birth
- pre and post-birth osteopathy to mums
- monitor child’s development
Once you book your appointment you will receive confirmation of the time and date. When you attend the Clinic for the first time your consultant osteopath will fill in a case history form and will ask you several questions to find out a bit more about your or your child’s condition.
Please contact the Clinic for more information.
