Positive Parent Action (PPA) SEND reform

Positive Parent Action (PPA) is a parents' forum which works with Wandsworth Council to improve provision for all disabled children and young people from 0-25 years old, living in the borough.  This voluntary group has an essential role in Wandsworth's implementation of the SEND Reforms.

PPA member parents co-chair the council's committees running various work streams.  Some PPA members attend meetings, or participate in pilot schemes to test new ways of working.  All PPA members have the chance to give their views in surveys, questionnaires and meetings.

PPA recruit, train and support parents to work with Wandsworth Council on creating and implementing the reforms.  Parents who act as co-chairs or sit on committees are paid a small sum for their time.
