Fayland Children's Centre

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, children's centres in Wandsworth have closed until have further notice.

 

Children’s Centres provide a welcoming space where you and your child can have fun and learn.

For dads, mums and carers with their children aged 0-5. 

At the centre you can:

  • make friends;
  • learn to play creatively with your child;
  • do activities with your child which can bring you closer;
  • improve your parenting skills;
  • access training courses which can help you back into the world of work;
  • have fun knowing that your child is nearby and being properly cared for;
  • attend groups for parents of special needs children or for young parents; and 
  • get support with family problems.

To use the centre, you can drop in, some activities may require booking. The activities are free.

Please note the following changes to the spring timetable:

All Family Music Time Sessions have been cancelled

Monday

  • The first session Stay Play and Learn is at Hillbrook and NOT Balham. This session starts on Monday 13th January.
  • 10am Fantastic Two’s at Franciscan has been cancelled this term. Please contact Hillbrook Children's Centre if you are eligible for two-year-old funding and would like to attend their session on Tuesdays: 10am - 11:30am
  • 1.30pm Stay Play and Learn at Fayland is no longer available.
  • 1.30pm Developmental Reviews at Fayland are no longer available.
  • 12pm-3pm at Fayland a Parenting Group will be available – Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities – Please contact the Children’s Centre Team for details
  • 3.30pm Behaviour Advice is at Balham Children’s Centre and NOT Nightingale Square

Tuesday

  • 9.30am ESOL is at Fayland and NOT Franciscan
  • 12pm Meet the Psychologists is at Franciscan and NOT Fayland
  • 12.45pm ESOL is at Franciscan and NOT Fayland

Wednesday

  • 10am Fantastic Twos at Balham will not take place. The session will now be on a Friday afternoon 1.30pm-2.45pm

Thursday

  • 9.30am Teaching Assistant Course is no longer available

When is it on
Contact Centre for session times. Numbers attending the Monday morning Stay and Play are limited to 30 adults and 30 children. This is on a first come, first served basis.
