HELP WITH YOUR CREATIVITY & EMOTIONS

Learn new skills and expand your creative growth

Art boosts self-esteem and provides a sense of accomplishment

Art reduces Mental-health issues and stress or high anxiety

If you, or if someone you know, have been struggling with mental health and/or would like to join other parents to explore new growth and creativity, then come along and join us for some fun!

HOW IT WORKS

Parents with Paintbrushes project is made up of 5 sessions and is suited to beginner and intermediate levels.

It is an art class with a difference. Not only will parents develop art skills and techniques with art tutors and facilitators, but the project will also explore using art as a therapeutic tool to reduce anxiety and stress for parents with additional caring responsibilities.

These sessions are exclusively for parents with school-aged children with special educational needs- such as; autism spectrum conditions (ASC), attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), or a social communication disorder. Your child does not need to have a formal diagnosis but must be on the pathway to assessment.

Session 1 : Colour Theory + introduction to Drawing and Painting techniques.

Session 2: Understanding Tonal range to create texture, depth in Drawing and Painting.

Session 3: Negative Space and composition using space effectively in Painting and Drawing.

Session 4: Understanding Perspective in art. Using scale and imagine placement to make your art impactful.

Session 5: Painting Landscapes with acrylics / Painting Landscapes with acrylics
