Speech and language therapy is Sarah’s passion and she has been privileged to have worked at a senior level in professional bodies such as The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP) and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) to champion best practice in this field.
Sarah founded SL Therapy on the fundamental principle that every child should be given the opportunities to reach their communication potential. As well as supporting children and their families, they liaise with other relevant professionals to ensure that best practice for a child’s therapeutic experience is consistently maintained.
This has led their team to deliver training and consultancy services to educational, healthcare and other professionals in areas such as Selective Mutism, Autism, Bilingualism, Down’s Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, Hearing Impairment, Language Delay and Disorder, Speech Delay Disorder. They also supervise Speech and Language therapists working towards completing their newly qualified competency framework (RCSLT).
Sarah and the team work with children aged 1 month to 18 years old. They are experienced in providing assessment and treatment for a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties. These include Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, Selective Mutism, Hearing Impairment, Language Delay and Disorder, Speech Delay Disorder and many more. Therapy is provided in homes, clinics, school/college/nursery settings using a range of therapeutic approaches that best suit the child’s needs.
The team are specialists in providing high quality speech and language therapy medico-legal and expert witness reports for legal proceedings for children and adults with communication difficulties. Their expertise is regularly sought for SEN Tribunals, where they are called on as an Expert Witness - providing reports and attending court.

In this informal information session, come prepared to ask any questions from when should my child be speaking through to what do I do if my child is not getting the speech therapy stated on their EHC Plan?
