Consultation on the Wandsworth Joint commissioning Strategy for children and young people with SEND

Wandsworth council and the south west London  Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are committed to working together and with other professionals, service providers and most importantly, children and young people and their families to ensure the right services support and information are available when needed, are of high quality and lead to improved wellbeing health and education outcomes for Wandsworth children and young people with SEND, including those who need support to improve their emotional and  mental health.

We are committed to developing combined models of care and support for children and young people and one of the ways we are working to achieve this is through jointly commissioned services. This requires:

Joint understanding: of the needs of children and young people with SEND, and of services and resources available.
Joint planning: identifying gaps in services, developing a plan to meet local need and the outcomes we want to achieve with the resources we have.
Joint delivery: securing the services.
Joint review:  reviewing services to see if they have met the expected outcomes. This includes feedback from service users and their families to help improve delivery and feed into the future offer.

We have produced a Joint Commissioning Strategy for children and young people with SEND, which sets out our vision for jointly commissioning services, the action we will be taking to achieve our vision, and our priorities for the next 5-year period. We would welcome your views. Please read the Strategy document HERE and then complete the brief survey we have produced.

All responses will be considered and will shape the final Strategy, which will be published in November 2021, once approved by the SEND Joint Strategic Partnership Board. They will be used to develop and prioritise any new areas of focus and action identified for joint commissioned work within the local area during 2021-2026.
