2 Days Beginners Makaton Course

The Beginners' Workshop provides a practical introduction to the Makaton language programme. Sessions include discussing commonly asked questions, hints and tips for effective signing and symbol use and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations at home or work.

You will learn the signs and symbols for Stages 1-4 and additional of core vocabulary. The best way to learn Makaton is to attend a workshop. You will receive 2 workshop manuals, which include the signs and symbols that you have learned. You will also be given a certificate of attendance.

Session 1: Tuesday 10th December 2019 at 9:30am to 14:30pm
Session 2: Tuesday 17th December 2019 at 9:30am to 14:30pm

The course will:

• familiarise partcipants with core vocabulary from stages 1-4
• give the opportunity for partcipations to learn and practice using signs and symbols in single words and sentences
• be a practical workshop helping with daily functional communication

By the end of the course participants will be able to sign and recognise symbols for the first 4 stages of the core vocabulary.

This course is mixed for parents and professionals

Please note parents of older children (ages 6 and over) have to pay full price, parents of up to 5 year olds are free.
