Wandsworth Volunteer Police Cadets

The Volunteer Police Cadets work with the Metropolitan Police and participate in team-based programmes and activities that promote safer, healthier neighbourhoods across the capital.

Young people aged 14 to 18 years who live or go to school, college or work in the borough of Wandsworth are eligible to take part.

The aims of the Police Cadet programme are:

  • to encourage personal development by learning basic policing skills and life skills;
  • to promote citizenship; and
  • to enhance the relationship between the police, community and young people in the borough.

All cadets must sign the official secrets act and code of conduct.

For further information or to join, please contact the local cadet unit.
