Family Action - Newpin
Family Action services work with those who are experiencing mental health problems and with their children; ensuring both get the support they need.
Newpin provide long-term support to parents/carers and children under five where there is an identified mental health problem and/or a significant difficulty in the parent-child relationship.
The programme offers:
- group play and learning opportunities for a parent/carer and child;
- a positive experience of playing together for parent/carer and child; and
- a group experience that is carefully structured to enhance attachment, raise parental self-esteem, and improve the parent's ability to mirror their child's feelings.
