Siblings Group

This is one of the services from the new Wandsworth Autism Advisory Service which will work closely with partners across the authority to provide a planned and graduated support to parents and families of children with a diagnosis of autism (and those on the specialist pathway).

Siblings Group - for secondary aged young people (11yrs – 18yrs) 4.00pm-5.30pm commencing on Thursday the 27th February.

Wandsworth Autism Advisory Service is proud to offer our first Siblings’ group. The initial group is intended for young people who have a sibling who has a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. The siblings themselves should not have a diagnosis of autism.

The aim of the group is to provide a supportive space where siblings can come and explore their experiences of living with an autistic sibling, establish a supportive network with other young people who share the same or similar experiences and identify possible ways of managing through stressful periods related to life with their sibling. The group will be facilitated by Angelique Witting and Shona Masson.

This group is intended for secondary aged young people (11yrs – 18yrs)

The group will run for 6 weekly sessions, commencing on Thursday the 27th February

Running time: 90 minutes, from 4pm – 5.30pm.

Location: Early Years Centre, 1 Siward Road, Earlsfield, SW17

If you have any further questions please call: 020 8871 6882
