i-Hop is a national one-stop information and advice service to support all professionals in working with children and families of offenders, including frontline staff, strategic managers and commissioners.

Around 200,000 children every year have a parent in prison in England and Wales.

I-Hop aims to:

  • improve support provided to children in offenders' families;
  • improve integrated working across agencies; and
  • increase awareness and knowledge of the issues impacting on children in offenders' families.

i-Hop aims to bring up-to-date resources to the professionals working with such families with children.
