Parent/Carer training around managing challenging behaviour workshops that had been scheduled for March, were cancelled and we have adapted this to create a shorter training course that is suitable to be delivered online. The training consists of 3 online sessions. The webinars have been recorded and are available on YouTube.
In response to need for more direct intervention we are introducing “Online Solution Circles” which will be led by members of the psychology team and will bring together parents and professionals to find solutions to “stuck situations”. These are being offered as virtual face to face small group appointments. See flyer for more details. Please email email@example.com to request an online appointment.
Our coffee mornings and parent support forums are still being run virtually for the time being. They take place on the last Wednesday of each month. This is a great opportunity for SEN parents to get together and share tips, offer support and encouragement to each other. We tackle a different topic area related to autism each time. This month we will be discussing the transition back into school following the summer holidays and a prolonged period out of school for many of our young people.
Virtual coffee morning: Wednesday 30th September 10:30am
Parent support forum: Wednesday 30th September 7pm
We have created some short videos with top tips and guidance for parents/ carers and these are now on the Local Offer Youtube channel
