Nicolette Hartell

My name is Nicolette, and I aim to provide quality childcare in a home setting that will nurture your child’s development. I am an Ofsted registered childminder living with my husband and two boys (10 years, and 7 years) in a sunny 2 bedroom flat off Putney Hill and have our own lovely spacious garden.

Your child’s activities will include: reading, cooking, baking, messy play, arts and crafts, sensory play, games and puzzles, role play, dancing, music, gardening and free-play.

We enjoy regular outings to Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park, Bishops Park playground, London Wetlands Centre, Kew Gardens, local Children’s Centres, libraries, and city farms. Special trips are organised to London museums and attractions, the seaside, and the countryside.

I have previously worked in the parliamentary and civil service both in New Zealand and the UK. Since having my children I have worked as a childminding assistant and have really enjoyed the opportunity to help children explore, learn and develop as if they were my own children. I have babysat for friends and also have experience of running a Sunday School (in New Zealand).

I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, and through working with parents and written observations of your child I will plan activities to support their development and needs.

My qualifications include:

  • 12 hour paediatric first aid
  • Home Based Care course (including Safeguarding Children) through Wandsworth Early Years, Children's Services
  • Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
  • B.A. Hons (English and Social Anthropology).
  • Keep them safe - protecting children from child sexual exploitation certifcate
  • Channel general awareness (prevent duty) certificate
