Care To Learn

The Care to Learn scheme offers financial help with childcare and travel costs to parents under the age of 20 so that they can get back into studying or gain qualifications. Care to Learn offers financial help with any kind of study or learning, as long as it is publicly funded.

The money provided is to cover childcare while you learn, study, are on placement or are travelling to and from your childcare provider.

You can also claim financial help for:

  • childcare registration fees
  • childcare tasters
  • additional childcare fees during holidays; and
  • travel costs for taking your child to the childcare provider.

It's up to you what you decide to learn or study.  You can choose: the subjects and/or courses that suit you, and your place of study, whether it be a college or a work place.
