Coram Voice

Coram Voice exists to enable children and young people to actively participate in shaping their own lives and to hold to account the services that are responsible for their care. They serve children and young people who are vulnerable to harm or exclusion from society, and who rely on the state or its agencies for their rights and wellbeing.

Coram Voice is for children and young people in care and in need, and also professionals working with this group of young people.

Coram Voice provides:

  • A freephone helpline that children can call for advocacy support, information and advice when they have problems with Children’s Services
  • An independent and confidential advocacy service to children in a variety of settings including residential schools, children’s homes, secure children’s homes, secure psychiatric units; and foster care
  • Specialist training programmes for professionals including advocacy, children’s rights, leaving care, complaints, participation and young refugees

The helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9.30 am - 6.00 pm with an answer helpline outside of these hours. Calls are free from all landlines and most mobile networks.
